Sometimes I want my makeup to have a super modern look, and I think I’ve found it with this androgynous eye makeup look. Makeup is a fun tool that can transform the look of your face in a flash. I love this look for a sleek and modern look that is all over the runways without being overly made over. Let’s get started so you can learn how to get the androgynous eye makeup look too!

How To Rock The Androgynous Eye Makeup Look

Shape Your Brows

One of the key ways to pull off this look is to keep your brows looking somewhat flat and neutral. We often associate an arched brow with being feminine which is why for this look you may want to play your brows down a bit. Use a brow filler pencil to carefully fill in your brows and give them a flatter across look. I like using a gel color that’s close to my brow color for this look, but you can use whatever works best for you.  We are not trying to fill in your brows simply to look thick and dark, keep this look on point by making them look a bit straighter. If your brows naturally look somewhat straight, or if you would normally pluck them a bit flatter due to your face shape, then you’re already on your way! Need some brow-spiration? Lay On The Eyeliner

If you want to have an androgynous eye makeup look, the keep to your eye makeup is to weigh heavier on your eyeliner. A bold liquid liner is great for this look! You can use dark colors such as blacks or browns, but I would stay away from more feminine colors. A shimmery eyeliner such as silver can be used for a nighttime look, but does not work for everyone so try it out! Draw the line across the top lid and extend the line just past your eyelid on the outside. As you draw the line, keep the eyeliner flat. If you flick the eyeliner up you will create more of a wingtip or a cat-eye look, so keep the line straight. Need inspiration? This girl gets it!

Eyeshadow Goals

So the last thing you are going to do to finish off your eye look is to add eyeshadow. To keep this eye makeup style looking androgynous, you need to keep your eyeshadow color palette neutral and simple. Try picking matte colors that match your skin tone. You’re trying to play up your more neutral features with this look, so avoid colors that are typically more feminine such as rosy colors. Finish off the eye by evening out the color. To make this look more of a night out look, you can add dark colors all over the eye. Dark colors will keep the eye look androgynous while still giving you a more bold look for nighttime.
