Pretty Little Liars Theme Song Clues

Do you think there are hidden clues about "A" in the Pretty Little Liars theme song? Check out our thoughts on the lyrics and tell us what you think!

The theme song from Pretty Little Liars is titled Secret by The Pierces. It debuted on their 2007 album titled Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge. The funny thing is that the song wasn’t even written for the show as it was done in 2007. However, Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson, who is a fan of the duo, loved the song and pitched it to the show’s producers. It fit in so well with the show, it was made the theme song of the show.

Pretty Little Liars Theme Song Clues

The theme song Secret describes the show so well, many people think it was actually written for the show. For instance in the verse “Got a secret can you keep it?” is an indication that the secret must be kept from A. “Better lock it in your pocket” is an indication of Alison having her trunk full of stuff and then locking it. In the verse “If I show you let em know you won’t tell what I said” could mean that the girls can’t say a word that Alison is alive.

In the song, there is a verse that says “two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.” In the episode Over My Dead Body from Season 2, Alison actually says that line with the exception that she says “two can ONLY keep a secret if one of them is dead.”

In the opening of the show when the song is played, there are some clues that people often wonder about. For instance, why is Aria the only one to go ‘shhhh?’ Also, all of the girls seem to be looking at Hanna but why? And why is Hanna just looking off to the side? Why does the woman in the casket have the exact same shirt on as Spencer? Could it really be Spencer in the casket?

Another clue in the Pretty Little Liars theme song is that in the video for the song, the character’s name is Alison. Coincidentally, in the show, Alison is the person who disappears and is the focus of the series.

In the beginning, Alison’s fingernails are being painted as well as her hair being curled. In the video for the theme song, Catherine begins to paint Alison’s nails as well as brush her hair after she kills her.

Maybe it is all just coincidence or maybe these clues are really trying to tell the audience something! Do you think there are hidden clues in the Pretty Little Liars theme song?
