The beginning of the official movie trailer for War for the Planet of the Apes will rock you to your core. We hear a voiceover saying, “I did not start this war. I offered you peace. I showed you mercy. But now you’re here to finish us off for good.” I am assuming the voiceover belongs to Caesar, the leader of the ape tribe. ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ Movie Trailer Review:
The War for the Planet of the Apes movie trailer goes on, with a different voiceover saying, “All of human history has led to this moment. The irony is we created you and nature has been punishing us ever since. This is our last stand, and if we lose, it will be a planet of apes.” I am sure that is the voice of Woody Harrelson, who plays the role of The Colonel, a ruthless military colonel, and leader of the human armies, in the movie.
The official movie trailer does a great job with the visuals of the movie. It easily transitions from a forest backdrop to a wintry landscape. It is something we haven’t seen in the other two movies.
While Woody Harrelson is new to the Transformers movie franchise, there are several others who will be reprising their roles from the first two films. Andy Serkis will voice the role of Caesar, the leader of the ape tribe; Judy Greer will voice the role of Cornelia, Caesar’s wife; Karin Konoval will voice the role of Maurice, Caesar’s friend and advisor and Terry Notary will voice the role of Rocket, Caesar’s friend.

War for the Planet of the Apes movie is set to hit theaters on July 14, 2017. It is the 3rd movie installment in the Planet of the Apes movie series, with the 1st one being the 2011 Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the 2nd one being the 2014 Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. This 3rd movie takes place two years after the 2014 movie. There is a full out war going on that is pitting Caesar and his apes up against The Colonel and the human race. You kind of want to cheer for the humans, but at the same time, you want to cheer for the ape tribe as well.
