The Voice: Carson Daly Biography
Carson Daly was born on June 22, 1973, in Santa Monica, California. He is a television host, television personality, producer and radio personality. Daly’s father, J.D. Daly, was an actor and his mother, Pattie, was a Coachella Valley TV personality. Carson graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1991 and was a member of the school’s golf team. After graduation, he attended and later graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he played golf throughout his four years.
Since its inception, Daly has been the host of the singing reality television show, The Voice. The Voice was not Daly’s first hosting job. In 1999, he was the host of the Miss Teen USA pageant in 1999 as well as the Miss USA pageant in 2000.
Daly’s mother, Pattie, is a breast cancer survivor. She was honored in 2004 at Lifetime’s Breast Cancer Heroes Luncheon. Daly and his fiancée, Siri Pinter, have three children together. Siri is the daughter of soap opera actor Mark Pinter. Their children are Jackson, born in March of 2009, Etta, born in September of 2012 and London, born in August 2014.
From 1998-2002, Daly was the host of the MTV show TRL- Total Request Live. Since 2002, Daly has been the host of the NBC late-night television show Last Call with Carson Daly. Since 2003, he has been the host of the New Year’s Eve broadcast on NBC, New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly, which broadcasts in Times Square in New York City. Daly has also worked on the Today show since 2013 as a social media reporter and a fill-in for anchor, Matt Lauer.

As a radio DJ, he has held the job as morning show host since 2010, Mornings with Carson Daly on the radio station KAMP-FM and since 2013, The Daly Download with Carson Daly as the host on CBS Radio of the Weekly Top 30 Countdown.
Daly has had a couple of acting roles including two in 2001: Josie and the Pussycats as himself and Joe Dirt as himself.
