The movie was named Logan, after an inspiration from the 2008-2009 Marvel Comics storyline titled Wolverine: Old Man Logan by Mark Millar.

Logan’s movie director is James Mangold, who also directed the 2013 movie The Wolverine. In addition, Mangold also directed the 1999 movie Girl, Interrupted, the 2001 movie Kate & Leopold and the 2005 movie Walk the Line. Essentially, Hugh Jackman also had the starring role in Kate & Leopold as Leopold, Duke of Albany. Doesn’t he look SO different than his role as Wolverine? If you’re looking for a sweet romantic movie, definitely check that one out!

The song in the movie’s official trailer is Johnny Cash’s 2003 “Hurt.” Logan director James Mangold, who also directed the 2005 movie Walk the Line, a biopic of Johnny Cash, stated he choose the song because he wanted to separate Logan from other superhero movies.
