A Surprise Proposal? Pretty Little Liars Recap Season 7 Episode 5 “Along Comes Mary”

So Liars, we are back again for the recap of this week’s Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 5: Along Comes Mary. There are lots of twists and turns being discovered this week including why is Alison so frantic, a surprise proposal, plus where does Mary Drake fit into this picture? Pretty Little Liars Recap Season 7 Episode 5 “Along Comes Mary”

In this PLL’s episode,  we learn just who Dr. Elliott Rollins really is. Yes, last week we saw the unfortunate demise of Elliott, also known as Archer Dunhill. Now as we all know, he was married to Alison, and he was pretty evil. But, we also learn a lot more about him.

In the promo video for this week’s episode, we see Alison, who is very shaken up, say, “Nothing he told me was true. What his name was…where he was from.”

Last week, The Liars were trying to get Alison released from Radley Sanitarium, which they were successfully able to do, but there is just one catch. Alison is only allowed to be released into a relative’s care. And since Jason is not in town, Mary Drake is the only relative in town. In case you forgot who Mary is, she is the twin sister of Alison’s deceased mother, Jessica.

The Liars discover that Elliott had an apartment no one knew about, so of course, they decide to investigate. They find out he was paying two different people, one with the initials MD and the other with the initials JD. I am thinking maybe Jenna is one of them, and Mary may be the other one. While they are in the apartment, they are caught by Toby, who lets them go.

So, The Liars buried Elliott’s body in the woods right? Well, the police track his credit card activity and discover he is in Baltimore. WOW! Interested to see what is going on there!

Last week on PLL, we also discovered that Jenna Marshall is back in town. Jenna claims she was there because of Toby and Yvonne’s engagement, but the problem is that Toby never invited her. So, why exactly is Jenna back in Rosewood?

Remember when Ezra told Aria, a while back, that his ex-girlfriend Nicole was kidnapped and presumed dead? Yeah, well that wasn’t exactly true. Aria picked up Ezra’s phone when it was ringing, only to discover it was Nicole. Aria ended up deleting the call. Here is where things get strange. Ezra went to tell Nicole’s parents about Aria. So, is Nicole really dead? Did Ezra keep this a secret?

Oh and we have another surprise return…Noel Kahn is back. He appeared at the end of the episode, talking to Jenna and Sara Harvey, saying, “Did you miss me?” Where has he been? He was last seen two seasons back.

Also at the end of the episode is the surprise proposal that we have all been waiting for. So, who is it? It’s none other than Ezra proposing to Aria! However, we aren’t sure of her answer yet.

You know, I am not so sure that Mary Drake is as evil as we all think she is. She is trying to bond with Alison, and I am thinking that maybe she is sort of genuine in some ways. What about Aria? Will she accept Ezra’s proposal? And is Jenna really back because of Toby? Here’s a heads up for next week’s episode!
